St Martin's & Braddock

My journey at St Martin's started in 2017 as a teacher, and leader of English across the Trust. In September 2019, I moved to Braddock to take up the role as Head of School, and became the Executive Headteacher of both schools in July 2022.

My favourite thing about my job is the interactions I am so lucky to have every day with children and staff at our school and our wider community. I feel so blessed and priviledged to work with such a fantastic team and such a supportive school community.

I was born in Cornwall and have always lived here.  I love the sea and the coastline and enjoy being outdoors in my free time.  Swimming and cycling are also my favourite hobbies.  I absolutely LOVE reading and particularly children's books. Chatting to people of all ages and enjoying a laugh together brightens up every single day.  I am lucky to be able to do this in my role as a teacher and Assistant Headteacher.

I'm Rebecca McHale. I currently teach Year 4 and I am the SENDCO and one of the Assistant Heads for St Martin's. In my spare time I enjoy crochet and cooking programmes.

I am here to help you and your child get the best from this school by providing support, advice and information.  Outside of school I enjoy 'light' gardening, watching football (a team in red) and have a grumpy cat called Sooty.

I am the TIS Practitioner for St Martin's and Braddock schools.

I love my job and feel privileged to be working with such lovely children, who are often very brave in trusting me with their, at times, difficult and tricky feelings.

To relax I love spending time with my children and grandchildren, walking my dog, preferably when it's not raining and reading...lots!

I'm Susanna and have worked at St Martin's for many years now! When I'm not at work my favourite thing to do is go for long walks with our dog, especially across the moors, which is also his favourite place!

I'm Gemma and I've worked in the school office for over 8 years. I enjoy spending my spare time with my family and friends and I love being by the sea, whether it's walking along the beautiful Cornish coastline, paddleboarding or building sandcastles with my two children. When I'm not in school this is my happy place!

I'm Rachel Bersey and I teach year 5 and 6. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, going for walks with my dogs and spending time at the beach. My favourite author is Michael Morpurgo, you will find my bookshelves filled with his fantastic stories and adventures.

I have been teaching for 9 years and enjoy teaching in all year groups. I am the R.E lead at St Martin's, which is a role I am passionate about.

Outside of school I make the most of my time making memories with my family and friends, walking along our beautiful coastlines and moorlands, I also really love baking.

I’ve worked at St Martin's since June 2021 and have absolutely loved teaching KS1.

 Reading and writing are my favourite subjects to teach! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and taking my two dogs for a walk on the beach.

My name is Miss Craze. I have been a teacher at St Martin's since September 2023, but I am very familiar with the school as I was a pupil here myself. I have lived in Liskeard my whole life and I am very connected to the local community. Before I became a teacher I helped to run a holiday club in which we did lots of exciting activities such as kayaking and arts and crafts. I am a creative person who enjoys drawing and reading. I am also very passionate about teaching children who grew up in a similar area to me.

I have been teaching for a number of years and have a passion for art and mathematics. I currently teach year 6.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family.  I enjoy music, reading and doing anything that allows me to be creative.

Hello, I am Miss Jarvis and am the proud owner of two cats, Merlin and Ivan! 

My favourite subjects are science and music, especially where I get to be practical and do investigations! I love teaching children to be creative thinkers and independent learners!

My favourite book is 'The Last Bear' by Hannah Gold. It is an inspirational book!

Hi, I'm Mrs Seymour and I've worked with children for 18 years from babies to secondary school. I love Early Years and have now worked in EYFS at St Martin's for 3 years. My favourite children's book is the Gruffalo and my favourite food is cheesy pasta. Fun fact: I've met King Charles.

My passion is teaching in the Early Years, where I enjoy bringing learning to life and having a hands-on and child-led approach to learning. In my free time I love to spend time in the splendour of the outdoors; walking in the beautiful countryside, swimming in the sea (even in the depths of winter!), diving, gardening, cycling, and playing tennis. But you can also find me enjoying a good book! I grew up on a farm in Zimbabwe and regularly travel back 'home' to visit family. I love to use all these interests in my everyday class teaching to help all the children in my care to flourish!

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

I’ve worked for St Martin’s School for quite a few years mostly in upper key stage 2 but have worked in lower key stage 2 and Year 1. I cover lunchtimes as well and am the treasurer for our PTA.

If I have any spare time I love to walk my dog, read and watch a good film! 

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

I'm Tanya Cliffe and have worked at St Martin's School for a number of years. I currently work as an H.L.T.A. (Higher Level Teaching Assistant). In the mornings I support the children in Yr6, Pathfinders class, and in the afternoons I teach different classes whilst the teachers have their PPA time.

In my spare time I enjoy walking, both by the coast and in the countryside. The beach is my happy place.

Hi I am Mrs Judson. I am a HLTA and currently work in Years 3 and 4. In the afternoons I teach other classes around the school. 

In my spare time I really enjoy watching cooking shows and trying different recipes. I also have a German Shepherd and he likes to go on long walks. I really enjoy listening to music and reading.

I'm Stacey and I am the Indoor Nursery Leader and have been part of the St Martin’s family for many years. I am a trained level 3 preschool practitioner and have lots of experience in working with young children. I lead the indoor nursery sessions every day.

Outdoor Nursery Lead

I'm Rachel and am the Outdoor Nursery Leader. I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Years Education and a Level 6 Wild Tribe Subject Leaders Award. I lead St Martin's wonderful outdoor nursery sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and love working with children in the outdoor environment.

I am Sue and I lead St Martin's outdoor nursery sessions on Thursday and Friday and really enjoy being at Wild Warriors with the children.

Outside of school I like spending time with my family and animals as well as visiting places in our motorhome.

I'm Mrs Lorna Cleave.  I have two children, a 7 year old girl and 6 year old boy.  They keep me busy, I love spending my time with them.  My hobbies are keeping fit, walking my dog and seeing my friends.  My passion in life is making sure people around me are happy!

Hello, my name is Mrs Stoneman and I am an Early Years Teaching Assistant. In my spare time I enjoy watching my children participate in various sporting activities. I also love going on long walks exploring our beautiful countryside with my dog. I really enjoy my role as Teaching Assistant. I’ve worked as a lunchtime supervisor for 17 months and I am also a cleaner at Braddock School.

I enjoy walks with my dog, Blue, going to the cinema, socialising with friends but most of all spending time with my family
