Christmas Fayre

Friday 9th December 2016, 3.30pm onwards

The PTA are currently busy organising our Christmas Fayre which will be held on the above date from 3.30pm.  There will be a large variety of stalls and activities with each class taking part and running their own stall.

Due to popular demand Father Christmas will be in attendance once again!

There will be plenty of refreshments for sale including the ever popular turkey and stuffing baguettes, hot dogs, cakes and mince pies!!

On Friday 2nd December we will be asking that the children bring in a donations for the fayre in exchange for wearing their Christmas jumpers!!!  To ensure we receive a variety of donations we suggest that children from each year group donate the following:-

  • Early Years/Nursery – chocolate for tombola
  • KS1 – Raffle prizes
  • KS2 – Bottles/Raffle prizes

Alternatively they can bring in £1, which will be used to buy raffle prizes.

Could all donations of books or toys please be marked for the attention of The PTA, and be sent in week commencing Monday 5th December.

We would also appreciate any donations of cakes to sell at the fayre.  Can you please bring these in on Friday 9th December.

If you can help with any of the stalls or activities please let any one of the

PTA know, or see Charlotte in the office.

Your help and support is very much appreciated!

 Christingle Service - Sunday 4th December 2016

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

The annual Christingle service is on Sunday 4th December at 4pm at St Martins Church. This year it is our turn for the KS1 children to perform so we are doing our Christmas Performance of ‘Whoops-A-Daisy Angel’. All children are invited to come to perform and we would like as many children there as possible. If your child has a speaking part it is essential that they are there. Children are to wear their Nativity costumes to the church. Children need to arrive between 3:30pm and 3:45pm and an adult has to stay with them at the church. The service lasts for an hour.

Thank you.

Miss Hodgetts, Miss Chacksfield, Mrs Jones

How effective are the leadership and Management of the school as a church school?

The inspector praised the deeply embedded explicit Christian values in the school which make a significant contribution to children’s learning and personal development. She also commented on the excellent quality of experiences and displays, based on Christian values which enrich the learning environment .The strong relationships based on Christian values in which all children are nurtured and valued as individuals was also seen as very special in the school.

I would like to thank all the staff for their hard work and the amazing care they provide for your children. The full report is available on our website.
