Coming Together in Gods Love, to Learn, to Work, to Love , to Grow
Welcome to our school! At St Martin’s CE Primary School, we pride ourselves on supporting the development of happy and confident children who are the best they can be and build on their skills for life.
Whether your children already attend or you are considering sending your child to school here, we hope you will find the information on our website both useful and inspiring - we are proud of our school and want to share it with you. Everyone is valued in our caring school community. Our core Christian values of trust, hope, courage , compassion, forgiveness, creativity and thankfulness are at the forefront of our ethos.
St Martin’s Primary School is a ten class school set in the town of Liskeard. Our classes are named after inspirational people. Many children join us in their Nursery year and move on at the end of Year 6 to either the Community College or other local schools. Our class organisation is flexible to ensure every child can achieve their best.
We are committed to working in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that all our pupils reach their full potential and we offer a creative and well balanced curriculum to support each child on their unique learning journey. Our overriding priority is engagement in learning and our school is a learning organisation. We ensure we provide a rich and appropriate learning environment. We have a firm, fair and consistent policy for rewards and behaviour which ensures that all children feel safe, respected and valued and receive recognition for their many successes. We place great emphasis on good manners and believe that ‘manners maketh man’.
Our staff and Governors are talented, dedicated and caring and the 'Open Door' policy of the school means we all share together with you in the life of the school, as we strive to make St Martin’s Church of England Primary School the special place that it is each and every day - a welcoming, caring and happy school.

The Friends Need You
From September 2016, The Friends (PTA), would like to replace a number of the committee members, due to the fact a number of the present members will not have children in the school any more. It would be great if we could have a representative from each class.
To make sure The Friends (PTA) carry on the amazing work they do for the school, we would like to have a full new committee in place; so they can start planning events in 2016. If you like working with a team of people who want the children at St. Martins to have even more exciting enrichment opportunities and experiences then you are the type of person we need.
You do not need to be a parent but you need a link to the school such as a grandparent, carer etc .All we ask is for you to give some time to help.
Please think about it! The Friends (PTA) have been helping the school over many years and we would like to think the support will go on for many more years.
If you would like more information call Nick 01579 349933 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
